Sandra Aran (born in Mexico City, raised in LA, schooled at Berklee) leads this dynamic all-star latin ensemble. Visiting New York, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Trinidad, "Ritmojito" present superbly crafted songs with deep latin jazz grooves.
As the full sextet, cool quintet or core quartet, Ritmojito performs high energy latin dance music blazing with a jazz flare. The engaging and charismatic Sandra Aran, singing in three languages, fronts the ensemble and Richard Nelson Hall designs the show, arranges the music and directs from behind the keyboard.
Bolero, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Mambo, Merengue, Reggae, Rumba, Salsa, Samba, Ska, Tango - focusing on groove but without compromising the song form, this band keeps your attention, keeps you on the dance floor, or both.
